Chilantaisaurus is a dinosaur in Additional Creatures.
Synopsis
Wild-
Roaming the island's redwoods, Chilantaisaurus is a dangerous predator. A relative of Carcharodontosaurus, this predator is extremely aggressive & confrontational, sizing up all matter of prey and competition.
What makes it deadly, however, are its serrated teeth. Chilantai's bite causes bleeding wounds, while these at first glance don't seem as fatal as the bite of allosaurus or similar, that's far from the case!
The wounds, while at first shallow, last. As Chilantaisaurus attacks, the wounds open more and more, causing more blood loss and crippling damage over the time of battle!
Domesticated-
If I were to assign Chilantai a role as a mount, it would be a "tank-busting brawler".
For its size, it is capable of taking quite a beating despite having no form of body armor. I assume it uses its bulk to help it last in battle, relying on consistent bleeding hits to weaken prey before it secures the kill. As such, I highly recommend Chilantaisaurus for any survivor having trouble with high-health or high-armor enemies. With Chilantaisaurus properly trained, both of those can become a thing of the past: so long as consistent damage be applied to the enemy to keep them bleeding like pigs.
.....dark, now that I said that, but I've also seen rexes bleed out gallons from these things. How else can you describe that?!

Notes/Trivia
- Chilantaisaurus means "Chilantai Lizard" after the city it was found near, with carnufex meaning "butcher".
- Exactly what Chilantaisaurus is is unclear, as its placement on the theropod family tree is controversial. Traditionally it has been considered a form of allosauroid, and considering it lived 90 million years ago, in that case it would be the last of its kind. In the late 2010's it has been suggested to be a large-bodied coelurosaur, potentially a megaraptoran, akin to Megaraptor and Australovenator. In 2021, the most recent consensus is that it is a neovenatorid, which are a group of allosauroids related to carcharodontosaurs. Other neovenatorids include Neovenator and Siats.
