Dilophovenatrix are a fictional species of dinosaur in Additional Creatures.

Synopsis
Dilophovenatrix is a larger, more powerful relative of the minuscule beach pest most survivors know. living in deep, fetid undergrowth, it uses its exotic patterning and stealth hunting techniques to live up to its name- "Two-Crested Huntress"- with potent effect. Not also is it conniving and its fangs and teeth sharp, but Dilophovenatrix possess a potent venom that can induce temporary moments of illness and fatigue in targets. Dilophovenatix will bide its time before rushing in during these provided moments of opportunity, in an attempt to quickly take down its targets. For those that want something as a faster, more tactical alternative to a middle-tier carnivore, Dilophovenatrix will not disappoint, using venom and its tactics to defend itself and its rider against larger, more powerful creatures.

Automatically dismounts. The Skorpiovenator can also generally be told to sit. This slightly increases healing rate.

Dilophovenatrix gains various benefits from the Weakness Debuff (caused by Huntress's Venom) in combat. By attacking a creature affected by Weakness, the Dilophovenatrix's attack increases by 50%. When killing a creature affected by weakness, the Dilophovenatrix gains a buff that regenerates stamina and health at a rate of 35/s, along with a 25% speed increase.
Dilophovenatrix is immune to venom.
Notes/Trivia
- Dilophovenatrix means "Double Crested Huntress".
- Dilophovenatrix originally started as a creature to be added to a "Pop Culture" expansion to Additional Creatures 2: Wild ARK, which was an expansion intended to add new fictional creatures that have a pop culture inspiration. Dilophovenatrix was based on the Dilophosaurus from Turok 2008. This project was scrapped, with the Dilophovenatrix being the only survivor.
- Dilophovenatrix was originally going to have some design inspirations from the raptors of Turok 2008, baring sickle claws and having the name "Dilophoraptor", but this was scrapped.
- Dilophovenatrix has remained largely unchanged from its original version to its TLC, with the main exception being its new venom mechanics.
- Dilophovenatrix, alongside the now-removed Sinosaurus, are attempts in Additional Creatures to add a Dilophosaurus more appropriate in size to the one in the fossil record.
- It's TLC was originally planned to make the Dilophovenatrix a creature exclusive to the Bog Biome on Genesis, with the ability to use thorns on its tail to dispel insect swarms. This did not come to pass.
