The Loch Ness Monster is perhaps the most well-known cryptid of all time, only beaten by Bigfoot in popularity. Supposedly inhabiting the Loch Ness in Scotland, the Loch Ness Monster, lovingly nicknamed Nessie, is the most well-known lake monster. It was first sighted in the 1930s, which varied in various sightings including a giant blob, to a giant otter, to a strange llama-type creature. It is the plesiosaur-like form, however, which has been popularized and sustained in pop culture over the many years. The lake monster's high popularity means it is one of the most sighted cryptids, with hundreds of known sightings, and also one of the most heavily studied, with there being countless searches for the monster, with all of them either coming out with nothing or claiming the creature to be a hoax.
The Loch Ness Monster is confirmed to be the final boss of the Paranoia Expansion. Its design has been revealed, which is reminiscent of both plesiosaurs and seals.
