Lungfish are small fish, so they can have different sizes, be caught with a fishing rod, and be instantly killed by certain creatures.
- The Lungfish of Additional Creatures are not to be confused with the Arganodus, which is another lungfish species in Aquaria.
- Lungfish are a very ancient lineage of lobe-finned fish, akin to coelacanths.
- Lungfish, as their name implies, can breath air, which was an adaptation survive conditions with low oxygen or if the water source dries up. Many modern species primarily breath air, despite having gills.
- Modern lungfish are known from 2 lineages: the Australian lineage and the South_American-African lineage. They are different in locality, body structure, and land-tolerance. The lungfish in Additional Creatures closer resembles the Australian lineage, which are known to not cope as well with drought conditions.
