Pentaceratops, meaning "Five-Horned Face", is a species of ceratopsid dinosaur that lived in what is now New Mexico around 75 million years ago. It was one of the multitudes of varieties of ceratopsids that lived in North America during this time period, only being slightly farther north from [[Coahuilaceratops]]. It was truly the hey-day of the horned dinosaurs. Pentaceratops itself, like other ceratopsids, is made distinct by its headgear, which consists of three horns and an incredibly gigantic but thin frill.

A denizen to the wastelands of Extinction, Pentaceratops makes its home in the hostile wastelands of earth where it comes into constant contact with corrupted. However, this also means it comes into contact with copious amounts of raw element. Like other animals, element began to influence its evolution...similar to creatures like Velonasaur and Managarmr, and it ended up as corruption's worst nightmare. A valliant and courageous dinosaur, Pentaceratops has evolved specifically to combat and kill corrupted animals with ease. Its horns have evolved into bladelike shapes similar to tek swords, and its massive frill is equivalent to a biological tek shield. If this wasn't enough, the Pentaceratops's attacks, composed of purified element, have an extremely increased effect against corrupted dinosaurs, as the element causes wounds to amplify in damage. As such one would expect these colossal dinosaurs to be the pinnacle dinosaur for fighting corrupted on extinction, they indeed are...however they are nowhere near a friendly herbivore. Their extremely hostile environment causes Pentaceratops to be extremely untrusting of anything near it. They charge survivors and their tames from a distance, their element-powered strength allowing them to flatten all who provoke their ire. This same spiteful and untrusting temperament also means that Pentaceratops will NEVER take food from somebody that renders them unconscious, taking it as an assault and marring that person an enemy for life. Naturally, as such, Pentaceratops is untameable...if only there were a passive ranged taming option, or a creature that could placate Pentaceratops...

Pentaceratops gaiavindico, with gaiavindico meanig "earth punishing", in [[Additional Creatures Wiki|Additional Creatures]] is planned to have a rather bizarre role in the mod. It is planned to be a creature purely native to Extinction, akin to [[Becklespinax]], but with a much different usage: the ultimate corrupted killer. The Pentaceratops will be a creature of phenominal power. On its own, it still has the power to be on equal terms with the likes of Tyrannosaurus, making it quite similar to [[Eotriceratops]] in that regard. However, Pentaceratops will stand out in its elemental abilities. Pentaceratops lives out in the elementally unstable wastelands of Extinction, which has resulted in it being exposed to abnormally large amounts of element. However, instead of becoming corrupted like most wildlife, Pentaceratops has been gifted with special abilities, somewhat akin to other Extinction specialists like the Gasbags. Not only are they extremely strong by default, but their horns have formed to being similar in shape and use to tek swords, as well as the frill bearing a striking resemblance to the tek shield. As a result, the Pentaceratops will be extremely strong in both dealing and taking damage. Not only that, but these elemental abilities also allow it to be extremely damaging towards corrupted [[creatures]]. This would be especially useful for the animals as the corrupted [[creatures]] they share their habitat with are probably their most common enemies. This makes Pentaceratops an extremely valauble creature on extinction, but this comes as a cost. The extremely hostile environment Pentaceratops lives in has made it untrusting of practically everything, including people. As a result, standard taming is not an option. So, one will have to find a way to passive tame it using [[Consumables|Apex Egg Kibble]], akin to [[Smok saurovindico]].
