Varanidae is a fictional reptile species confirmed to come to Additional Creatures 2: Wild ARK.
In the original mod, the Varanidae was the top predator of the beaches. It was large enough to challenge carnotaurus, had venomous claws that blinded its victims, and was the natural predator of the Carapaceon. However, it has since been removed from Additional Creatures and is planned to receive a TLC in Additional Creatures 2: Wild ARK, where it will actually have a pretty drastic transformation from its original role. It will receive a makeover akin to the Belluasaurus, being an Aberration creature. It won't completely be overridden though, as it is planned to be the main predator of the giant crabs that live in the Bioluminescent Chamber.
