Whale Sharks are fish confirmed to appear in Additional Creatures 2: Wild ARK.
Whale Sharks are found throughout the world's oceans, and are known to be the largest fish to current exist. However, they are filter feeders, feeding primarily on plankton and small fish. They are also one of the longest-living fish, capable of living to over 100 years. They are currently an endangered species, largely due to being caught in nets and collisions with boats.
Whale Sharks in Additional Creatures are planned to be somewhat different from their actual counterparts. They have a symbiotic relationship with the Parakeet Fish, which implies this species is exclusive to the Ocean Biome on Genesis. The Whale Shark emits a debuff which scares away small fish, providing the Parakeet Fish with protection. In return, the Parakeet Fish defend the whale shark, and the whale shark can direct them to attack threats. The Whale Shark is capable of a hydro pump attack, where it sucks up water and shoots it at attackers. Being hit by this attack also gives it an agro to parakeet fish. The way to tame a whale shark is to mount it until it relents, akin to a horse. This has added difficulty due to the fact that the parakeet fish will still defend the whale shark as this is happening.
